The team at Green Gurus delivered a special seminar to members of the Strata Community Australia (SCAWA) focused on the ‘Energy Evolution in Strata Buildings’.  Strata managers were informed of smart energy systems and technologies that reduce overall electricity demand and costs within residential strata buildings. A focus on the cost benefits to Lot owners and changes to Strata Reforms that now includes Sustainability infrastructure were discussed.

Innovation in Housing

Smarter ‘green’ homes that are more efficient to run, affordable to maintain, healthier and more comfortable to live in are very saleable. In fact, more buyers, investors and tenants rank sustainability as one of the top five considerations when buying or leasing their home, with over 22 per cent of WA homes having roof-top solar PV electricity generation systems. When you purchase a strata titled unit in many states in Australia, it is unlikely you will be able to improve its individual operational performance without the consent of the owners corporation.
